I Got a New Watch

 I got a new watch.

It's a Casio A168. I picked it up from Wal-Mart for $25.

Here's a photo of it:

It's a departure from what I've used for the past eleven and a half years. In 2014, I picked up the LG G Watch (photo below). I've always loved tech. And the watch that is connected to the Internet and had a small LCD screen...they didn't even have to ask. I picked one up immediately. Shortly after the LG G Watch, I picked up the Moto 360--a much better watch than the G Watch. It had a circular display. It was more watch like. I also remember it having more Google connected features.

The watch I had shortly before I picked up the smart watches in 2014

After the Moto 360, I picked up an Apple Watch. Because I was an iPhone user. iPhone 6s. I got the series 0.
It had great tracking. Health stuff. And that's what kept me. The data.

But last week, I went for a swim and my series 6 that I picked up in 2020, finally kicked the bucket. It started to overheat, and do phantom button presses. I wanted to keep that watch for another 5 years, to be honest.

I bought it for ... who knows, maybe like $300 or $400 when it came out. On top of that, I was paying my wireless carrier monthly to use it separate from my iPhone.

Not anymore. I'm free from the smart watch. Back to the Casio.
